About the Bells
2 Bells in D ( Tuning 1,2# of 4)
Ex. Inf. L Bent, Jan 2022: The bells are hung in a prism-shaped turret on the top of the short tower. The belfry is accessed by a spiral staircase which leads to a hatch out onto the tower roof, then by walking around the back of the turret and climbing in through a hatch-type doorway.
The 2 bells are hung for swing chiming in an oak B frame. They were re-hung in c2014 on galvanised steel headstocks and ball bearings and are both swung by steel levers. They have both had their canons removed and replaced by resin pads. The lighter bell previously had a peg argent and the heavier bell previously had conventional canons.
