William & John I Taylor
St Neots
1816 - 1821
Oxford
1821 - 1854
Around 8 years before William & John's father's death, the brothers cast bells together without Robert's name inscribed.
Bells in the same fashion appear when John moved to Devon, and once he moved to Loughborough in 1839.
An interesting feature developed in the late 1830s - They would inscribe the letters on a backwards and forwards tilt.
On one of their earliest bells, they described themselves as CHURCH CLOCK & CHIME MAKERS.
Almost all of their bells had their initials and not their full name, though some do appear.
William passed away in 1854, and his brother 4 years later.
