Z.3 Frame
The Z.3 frame truss is closely related to the Z.2. The Z.3 is a composite frame which is made from both steel and Cast iron. The bracing is made from Cast iron and usually painted and the head and Sill of the frame is made from steel. Because it is a composite frame. The braces are bolted to the head and sill to connect them. Again like most metal frames, cross bracing is at either end to add support.
