Fulking, Former Chapel of The Good ShepherdFulking has a single bell, hung for swing chime in the porch
The village of Fulking has been a separate parish since 1894. Before then, it was part of the parish of Edburton. The church was remodeled in 1925, and probably the year it was dedicated to The Good Shepherd. The church has not been used for worship since the 1970s but continues to serve for community purposes. |

1 Bell, in E
This bell is completely blank with no more than a heavy moulding wire at the bottom of the waist. The patina lends itself to that of brass, and may have been made at a brassfoundry.
The pitch is quite deep for its size, like that at Three Bridges, St Richard, and it doesn't have the shiny tone found in bronze bells.
It was cast with a peg canon, and has a clapper suspended from a cast in crown staple. The top of the clapper is looped around it.
It is rung using a rope connected to a small iron wheel, swinging it East to West.
A pair of steps or tall chair is required to reach it.
