Gillett & Co

​1883 - 1892

We begin to see bells in 1883 inscribed Gillett & Co, presumably the year of Charles Bland's death or retirement. We have a number of example in Sussex during this period, all of which are fairly good castings. 
The tenor at Highbrook however has a large fin inside the bell where there was a fault in the mould.
The same Gothic and block roman letters used since 1877 were continued, and they introduced a new ornament, Fig. GIC,1.
